What is Business Challenge?

Business Challenge is a one-of-a-kind summer program that offers you firsthand experience with the world of business as you earn credit towards graduation. You become part of your “company” made up of your peers and mentored by a North Dakota business professional as you work together in fun and exciting activities, tours and competitions!

You’ll live on campus and get to experience college life as you gain skills in networking, leadership, communication, team building, responsibility, money management, entrepreneurship, marketing and more.  At Business Challenge you’ll learn the business world can be serious stuff, but it can also be fun!

Who should attend Business Challenge?

ALL current 9-12 high school students – We accept students attending public, private or home schools, and graduating seniors. Students from other states are welcome too!

Strongly encouraged to attend: Officers of DECA, FBLA, FFA, 4H, TSA, SkillsUSA, FCCLA, etc.
Business Challenge also welcomes participants from surrounding states!

Where is it?

Business Challenge is held at Dickinson State University and historic Medora, ND.

Can I Get Credit?

You’ll earn a ½ credit on your high school transcript in just one week! High school juniors or seniors may select the dual-credit option to earn 2 semester credit hours as a general elective. See our website for more details!

Want to come back for more?
No problem…you can take the program each year and receive credit or just come back for more fun!

How Much Does It Cost?

ND residents – Early Bird Special is only $125 if you register by June 1, and $175 thereafter.

Non-residents – Early Bird Special is only $175 if you register by June 1, and $225 thereafter.
Includes: meals, campus lodging (all students are required to live on campus for this week), program materials, activities and Medora Musical ticket.

Transportation to and from the program - Ride the Fun Bus! Stops include Fargo, Valley City, Jamestown and Bismarck for an additional fee.
